A Study on the color of Korean traditional hair accessories -Focused on Chosun dynasty-

Abstract

|
This study is concentrated on Korean traditional hair accessories for finding its sort, color, color arrangement method, symbolization and meaning. And I will give theoretical basis by studying how to determine their design due to personal image, atmosphere, circumstances. I examine variety of accessories was used in Chosun dynasty, I made a theoretical study and case study using photos and data from TV drama, paper, Internet, books. As a result, Korean traditional hair accessories was frequently expressed by Oh-Bang Color and Oh-Bang-Gan Color. And similar color combination and a complementary color combination by strong color comparison were used in color arrangement. In TV drama, they emphasis player`s character using appropriate accessories, color arrangement. In TV drama and cinema, they can express their characteristic to receiver more effectively by image arrangement using color.
